Dr. Melissa Wilson is a Board-Certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology who joined the Victoria Women's Clinic in 2007. She was born and raised in Cuero, Texas where she graduated from Cuero High School in 1995. She then moved to Aggieland and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in
1999. She received her Doctor of Medicine in 2003 from University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas (McGovern Medical School). Then went on to complete her residency training in the Texas Medical Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2007.
During her residency she received many honors including Outstanding First Year Resident Award and Outstanding Teaching Award as a Second Year Resident. She was also awarded the Excellence in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Award. She was also elected and served as Administrative Chief Resident in 2006-2007.
Dr. Wilson's practice includes general and high-risk obstetrics, infertility, urogynecology, hormone therapy, weight loss and a full range of other gynecological services. Her breadth of practice includes caring for women from adolescents through childbearing into menopause. She offers hormone replacement optimization therapy including oral, topical, and Biote pellet therapy. She has particular interest in minimally invasive surgery. She is Davinci Robot Certified since 2010 and has been performing robotic hysterectomies allowing for a less painful recovery and quicker return to normal activities. She also offers in office gynecological procedures including hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, LEEP, and contraception. She has served the community as Chairman of the Department in Obstetrics and Gynecology at DeTar Hospital, Chief of Staff at DeTar Hospital and also Former President of the Board at DeTar Hospital.
She returned to the Crossroads Area with her husband Douglas Wilson, also a Cuero native. This area has been her permanent home, and she is committed to developing lifelong relationships with her patients and being a part of their life through all phases. In her free time Dr. Wilson and her husband enjoy watching her twin boys Cannon and Cooper
now age 16, play football for the Cuero Gobblers. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and her Peloton.
Dr. Wilson's office is located at 110 Medical Drive Suite 100. She has privileges at DeTar Women and Children's Hospital, DeTar Navarro, and Citizen's Medical Center.
