In-house Ultrasound Services

Victoria Women's Clinic has skilled ultrasonographers available at both of our Clinic locations utilizing the latest ultrasound technology—GE Voluson Expert 18 Ultrasound Systems— in each of our ultrasound suites.  Along with years of specialized experience providing support to obstetrical and gynecologic patients, each of our skilled sonographers is registered by ARDMS (The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) with specialties in obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound.

We provide First Trimester ultrasounds to determine fetal age and Second Trimester ultrasounds to assess your baby's development, check the location of the placenta, and reveal your baby's sex, if you wish to know. These scans can also help identify any possible fetal abnormalities. In the Third Trimester, your doctor may recommend an ultrasound to evaluate your baby's growth and position, ensuring close monitoring throughout your pregnancy.

How to Prepare for your Sonogram Visit

  •  Arrive on time.
  • Wear loose fitting comfortable clothing.
  • We do allow family members to accompany you for the exam. However, please remember that this is a detailed examination requiring concentration by your sonographer, so please use your discretion.
  • You may call 361-578-5233 if you have any questions or you can refer to the "Obstetrical Sonograms at the Victoria Women's Clinic" information we provide at your first OB visit.
